Hi, I had an idea. How about personal boards for premiums? These would work in a similar way to existing boards, but they could be reached via a direct link from a user's profile page, or from a Zone member boards catigory in the main boards section.
These boards would also have extended writing space for the member who owns the board, and also anyone on that user's ignore list would not have posting rights to that board.
The boards could be used for all kinds of things, blogging, funny messages left by Zoners for the board's owner, feedback on more than just audio profiles etc.
I'm sure you guys can think of other uses for them, but it was just a random idea that popped into my head.

or you can just start a board with your own name on it matt and we ccould make fun of you. I'm just kidding. I like the idea i thought of something simelar. I mean people are getting boards made about them anyway. I know there was one for Jared, heather, and I don't know who else.

I have a few questions with this. First, would such a board take up space in the topics with new posts page? Second, why not just use a blog for these type of things, with the idea that one would put that web address in the website portion of the user profile? It seems like more clutter to the boards.
I think new topics posted to premium member boards would not be reflected in the new topics page. However, visiting a member's profile page would enable you to see if their board had any new posts, and of course users would be able to subscribe to those member boards they are interested in.
Second, whilst many people are familiar with the Zone Website and the community itself, they may not be confident enough with the various bloggin sites out there to go and set one up. The Zone is completely accessible and easy to navigate for one thing, whereas most blogging sites are full of frames and crappy advertising banners, graphics, links to other member blogs etc etc. This system would kind of be the Zone's own blogging system. You could even set things up so that a user could update their blog by sending an email to an email address with a special subject line. Something like: to: blogging@zonebbs.com, subject: update 475131. Using the word update in the subject line would tell the system to treat any text in the body of the email message as a blog update, and the first 3 digits of the number would tell the system which blog to update. The second set of 3 digits would be a personal security code that only the user who owns the blog would know. So if someone wanted to play games and keyed the subject line: update 475222, the system would reject the email because 222 is not my personal blogging pin number, 131 is.

same. other blog sites are just too confusing. but then again this really should be for everyone. I mean Everyone could in theory use a blog. but like I said I would also pay for something like this.
i think a zone blogg might be a good idea.
I just wanted to put my 2 cents in here. I think this would be an awesome idea. It could even be called premium blogs and either only accessible through the member's profile or have a totally separate link on the main page to access them.

I would also like to say that I like this idea as well... I say it should be added!
Maybe it should be a feature that costs more since you would be using up more space?
